A Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) is a revolving line of credit, much like a credit card, except that it is secured by your home. Under Federal law, lenders must inform you about the terms and costs of the line of credit, along with the APR and payment terms. There is a 3-day recission period, meaning that you have three business days to cancel a HELOC. At Solorzano Johnson Law, we will work with your lender to ensure a smooth closing. On the day of closing, we will review all the HELOC closing documents with you to ensure that you understand the terms of the loan and answer any questions you may have.
If you are working with a lender and are ready to schedule your HELOC closing at Solorzano Johnson Law, please send an email to
[email protected]. In your email, include the following information: (1) loan amount; (2) property address; (3) contact for all borrower(s) listed on the loan; and (4) best contact information for your lender. We look forward to assisting you with your HELOC.
